TS GG Student Competition - Feb 24 Students Take First Place in Adirondack Cup students took first place in this year's Adirondack Cup, a stock-picking contest for college students sponsored by Adirondack Research & Management. The team achieved a 31.75 percent return on a hypothetical million-dollar small-cap portfolio. GB NC PD AL Student Competition - 2018 Apr 20 Polar Plungers Win Best College Team Award Twenty-three students and their friends braved frigid temperatures on Saturday, December 7, 2019, to plunge into Lake Erie to raise money for the Special Olympics. The Orange Crushers exceeded their goal by raising more than $3,700 in donations at the 2019 Special Olympics Polar Plunge in Woodlawn Beach and were recognized with the Best College Team Award. The Orange Crushers Team is co-sponsored by Best Buddies and the Student Council for Exceptional Children. They were supported by the Exceptional Education Department and United Students Government. JM KJ JM Achievement (Other) - 2019 Nov 6 Casting Hall at Presented "The Drowsy Chaperone" The Theater Department at College, in conjunction with the student-run production company Casting Hall Productions, staged "The Lazy Chaperone." Hailed by New York Magazine as "the perfect Broadway musical," the production pokes fun at all the tropes that characterize the musical theater genre: offbeat characters, mistaken identities, and, of course, romance. Directed and choreographed by Carlos Jones, associate dean of the School of the Arts and Humanities; written by Bob Martin and Don McKellar; music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison.
